Pitaya was first discovered in Central America centuries ago and has traveled to all corners of the globe. Early missionaries brought Pitaya to Asia where it has since been renamed and is more commonly known as Dragon Fruit. Pitaya is an exotic low sugar fruit and an excellent source of antioxidants, magnesium, vitamin B and fiber. Pitaya’s natural color is vibrant pink. Not only is Pitaya delicious but also in a Banzai Bowl makes for a meal that will leave you with enough energy to conquer the day! It’s Organic!

Acai is an indigenous berry commonly found in the rain forests of the Amazon. It is one of the healthiest berries you will ever find – so antioxidant-rich it is known as a healing, immune-stimulating and energy-boosting fruit. Some of Acai’s amazing health benefits include: a source of healthy omega fatty acids, high in anthocyanin’s which improves heart health, helps digestion, promotes skin health, aids in weight loss, increased energy and stamina, anti-aging effects and high in Vitamin C. HEMP MILK

Hemp milk is a non-dairy beverage that is smooth and creamy with a nutty flavor. Made from the hemp seed, it’s a great source of plant-based nutrition including Omega’s 3 and 6 and essential amino acids. Hemp milk also includes these healthy nutrients: Vitamin A, D, E, B12, folic acid, magnesium, iron, zinc and all 10 essential amino acids. Hemp Milk is a great choice to add to any Banzai Bowl.

BEE POLLEN:

Bee pollen is the pollen ball that has been packed by worker honeybees into pellets. It is considered one of nature’s most completely nourishing foods as it contains nearly all nutrients required by humans. Bee pollen is richer in proteins than any animal source. Other health benefits that adding bee pollen to a Banzai Bowl can give you are: enhanced energy, skin soother (irritations/psoriasis/eczema), it can boost your respiratory system (helps with asthma), treats allergies, good for your digestive system, immune system booster and supports cardiovascular system. GOJI BERRIES:

Goji berries are the most nutritionally dense fruit on Earth. Native to the Himalayan Mountains of Tibet and Mongolia, the goji berry is now grown in many other countries as well. They grow on an evergreen shrub found in temperate and subtropical regions. They contain compounds with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, and have long been used in traditional Chinese medicine. Goji berries are very high in vitamin C and have 15 times amount of iron than spinach. Goji berries are said to aid in the treatment and/or prevention of health issues including: Alzheimer’s disease, diabetes, fatigue, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and liver disease. HEMP PROTEIN SEEDS:

Hemp is an excellent protein source for vegetarians and vegans. Hemp, which has been consumed for centuries, contains several essential nutrients for the body. Foods can be classified as complete, partial, or incomplete sources of proteins. In order for a food to be classified as complete, it must contain all eight essential amino acids. Hemp is considered a complete protein because it contains all 8 essential amino acids to meet the bodies needs. Other health benefits include: easy to digest (unlike soy & whey protein), dissolves easily so it’s readily accessible for the body to use, a source of good fats, heightens and maintains energy and is an anti inflammatory.
